GKR Maintenance & Building Co. Ltd have been able to support a number of good charities and local communities initiative during 2011. These include:

• Kit Sponsorship for Abercynon Rugby Club for their U15 trip to the finals of the Heart of Wales Cup, in which they were runners up
• Donation of Garden Shed to Croesty Primary School, Pencoed, Bridgend, for their Eco-garden
• Painting of railings for Cyfartha Junior School, Merthyr Tydfil, for which we provided all labour & materials
• Donation of two playhouses to Thornwell Primary School after all of their toys were destroyed when their school building was burnt down in June
• Financial donation to Taff Charitable Trust Golf Day, which raised £2,750 in total to be used to support Taff Housing Tenants suffering from financial hardship
• Financial Donation to SGP’s charity event, proceeds going to their nominated charity ‘Rainbows Hospice’
• Ongoing support for ‘The Big Issue Cymru’
• Sponsorship of the ‘David Taylor Local Hero’ Award, at Wales & West Housing Association’s Making a Difference Awards 2011
• Sponsorship for ConstructionSkills SkillBuild 2011 Competition
• Sponsorship for Connor Jones playing football for The Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales
