Helpdesk Engineer Co-Ordinator / Client Liason

Location:
Head Office, Bedwas
Rate:

£28,000 per annum

Hours:

Full time - 38 hours per week.

Description of Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Helpdesk Engineer Coordinator to join our team. As a Helpdesk Engineer Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our helpdesk team and the timely resolution of customer issues. You will be responsible for coordinating incoming requests, assigning tasks to team members, and maintaining documentation to ensure that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will provide support to both internal and external stakeholders and help drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our service delivery.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate incoming helpdesk requests and assign tasks to team members

- Monitor helpdesk system and ensure timely resolution of issues

- Programme skilled labour technician to carry out repair

- Monitor orders through to successful completion

- Ordering of specialist parts

- Updating of internal and external client databases

- Provide support and assistance to both internal and external clients

- Collaborate and escalate unresolved problems as needed

- Assist in the implementation of helpdesk software and procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction

Key

Skills:

- Previous experience in a helpdesk or technical support role would be advantageous

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure

- Proficiency in helpdesk software and email systems

Fire Protection Contracts Manager

Location:

Competitive depending on experience - Circa £38,000 per annum

Description of Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Protection Contracts Manager to oversee all aspects of fireproofing projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with specific expertise in fireproofing techniques, materials, and regulations. The Fire Protection Contracts Manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage all aspects of fireproofing projects including Fire Doors, from inception to completion.
  2. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to understand project requirements and objectives.
  3. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and financial targets.
  4. Procure materials and equipment necessary for fireproofing projects, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Supervise and coordinate direct labour crews to execute fireproofing work efficiently and according to specifications.
  6. Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays that arise during construction.
  7. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  8. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize project workflows and resource allocation.
  10. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in construction project management, with a focus on fireproofing or related disciplines.
  2. In-depth knowledge of fireproofing techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  5. Excellent leadership and team-building abilities, with a commitment to safety and quality.
  6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  7. Professional certifications in construction management or fireproofing (Preferred).

Skills:

We are looking for a qualified Disabled  Adaptation Bathroom Fitter to join our team to carry out bathroom adaptations on our social housing contracts. Ability to carry out all aspects of works (tiling, associated carpentry works etc) is essential.  

Good paperwork and organisational skills are also essential in this role.
